Clean The Soft Tissue In Your Mouth

Be sure and swipe (using a soft bristle brush) the soft tissue in your mouth such as the roof of your mouth, cheeks, under your tongue, and tongue of course .  We all focus on  cleaning the hard tissue (teeth) , and in between the teeth daily...hopefully.   Bacterial chains also become lodged on the soft tissue and need to be disrupted daily.  Even an edentulous person needs to wipe the soft tissues in the mouth and clean his tongue every day.

Live well.  Stay healthy.  Keep your teeth.  It takes homework.

Health and Beauty

The health and beauty of the skin depend more of the purity of the blood than on the topical application of cosmetic products.  True beauty comes from the inside .  Food has healing powers.   Eat Well.

Healthy Gums: Critical If You Want To Attrack The Opposite Sex

When you clean a surface of the tooth bacteria begin to grow after two hours.    These bacteria are living organisms  which eat ,  digest, and have waste products.  The  bacteria cannot feed on their own .  They are only able to feed as a colony or feeding unit.   We cannot eliminate these feeding units (colony).  Our only defense is to mechanically disrupt them.  The mechanism  for disrupting the colonies require only one thing.  You must  come in contact with them and physically dislodge them.  They are kinda like head lice or ticks.

Our Armentarium in this battle include the only weapons at hand

1.  Bristles of a brush
2.  Dental Floss
3.  and a long neglected allie...the lowly toothpick

Understand. . The toothbrush and floss can only clean convexities.  The back teeth have concavities in the front back and side of the tooth.  Tracing a toothpick around the gumline once daily breaks up the bacterial colonies and effectively reaches into the concavities to clean these areas.

As simple as this sounds it is not routinely taught.  The Toothpick must be adapted to the concavities on the root surface between the teeth not horizontally but as close to vertically as you can adapt it.

Cheese The Youth Food

No wonder rats always look so young.  "Cheese is one of the BEST foods you can eat for your teeth."  says Matthew Messina, DDS , an American Dental Association spokesman.  "It's a good source of calcium to keep your teeth strong.  Plus, eating cheese can lower the levels of bacteria in your mouth and keep your teeth clean and cavity-free,"  he says.  Cheese is also packed with protein and fat, which keep you full .   And it's versatile and convenient --  making it a great snack.

It is the only food that has been proven to have anticariogenic (anti cavity)  effects !  Just remember everything in moderation...even cheese.

Teeth So Clean Someone Else Someone Else Might Want to Kiss You

1.  Sweep Brush:   Use minimum amount of toothpaste (drop).  Perform at least 5 sweep strokes on face side overlapping strokes only.  Position toothbrush on inside surface of teeth:  downward stroke on upper teeth ; upward stroke on lower teeth

2.  FLOSS:  Using 18" of floss push floss in contact with tooth.  Scrape Tooth at lease 5 strokes each side under the gumline as far as it will go

3.  Brush Under the Gumline:   Angle toothbursh 90 degrees staight into the gumline.  3 wiggles , sweep out.  Inside and out every tooth

4.   Tongue Cleaner:  80 90% of bad breath comes from the coating on the tongue.  Go back as far as possible , scrape forward at least once a day but really as often as possible.

5.  Stain:  Reduce the quantity of brown pigments that you put in your body.  Everybody knows that things like tobacco, coffee, tea, and colas will stain the surface of the teeth.  But what most people don't know is that those brown pigments circulate in the bloodstream, and the tooth has a robust vascular supply.  The pigments are deposited in the dentin (the layer of tooth just under the enamel) the dentin will first get more yellow and layer brown.  You are staining your teeth from the inside, those colors show through the enamel.

Safer Oral Sex The Science

Probably not  the best idea to have oral sex with an open lesion in your mouth "the common cold sore".  Any open lesion in the mouth is just as susceptible to the same pathogenic invasions as a concomitant lesion in the vagina.  Separate these at your peril.  No one is talking about safe oral sex.  Be enlightened.

Abandon the illusion that because you are having oral sex you are safe.  An open lesion in the mouth is every bit as vulnerable as any breach in tissue in the vagina.  Any precaution you would take vaginally with sex should be just as important orally.

Please keep yourselves Safe.   I am your Oral Health Coach.  A hole is a hole without the teeth the mouth is the exact same tissue as the vagina.
